About the Medina Fire Department

The Medina Fire Department is a combination (career and volunteer) fire department that services the Village of Medina ,NY.  The department has a career staff of 13 (1 chief, 2 captains, and 10 firefighters).  The career staff is supported by a "callman" staff, which is comprised of 20+ volunteer firefighters who receive a small stipend for their services.

The department operates out of one fire house located at 600 Main Street and provides fire protection and advanced life support/emergency medical services to the Village of Medina and surrounding communities.

The department fleet includes 2 engines, 1 quint, 4 ambulances, 1 utility pickup truck, and 1 Durango for personnel transport.

The Medina Fire Department is dispatched by the Orleans County Dispatch operated by the Orleans County Sheriffs Office.
